Hi! Welcome to the Ugly Bao!
The Ugly Bao was created for health-conscious people who associate quality ingredients of food with quality of life. We are inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit of past generations and strive to be the positive impact of the future by providing employment, training, and career development mentorship to immigrant and first American-born folks.
Careful creation is at the heart of everything we do. We have revised home-grown, traditional recipes to include only intentional ingredients and we make all our banh baos by hand. The ugly bao is a little ugly, every bit tasty, and most importantly, Vietnamese-mom approved.
We’re so happy you are here and hope that you enjoy eating the ugly bao as much as we like making them.
